Digital Leadership Breakfast: Building people, not systems
- 2nd May 2018
- The Wolseley, London
Our breakfast events have successfully connected small groups of executive digital and customer leaders for over 2 years now. We’re delighted to share that our next one, delivered in partnership with The Up Group, will bring technology leaders together from across various sectors to explore the most pressing tech challenges and opportunities our industries face.
Dave Wood, our Technology Director, joins us to share his thoughts on what faces CIOs in the current market environment. Dave was one of the authors of the report for Francis Maude and Martha Lane Fox which resulted in the creation of Government Digital Services and his expertise is much sought after.
The breakfast will take the format of a roundtable discussion (Chatham House rules) and we’ll be debating a recently published Gartner view that the role of the CIO in 2018 should focus on building people, not systems.
“CIOs can maximise their contribution by building people, not systems. Leaders must work on cultivating digital leadership mindsets and behaviours starting with themselves, raising the digital dexterity of the IT team, and helping equip business peers for digital business success.”
At past events we’ve welcomed guests from companies including Barclays, TK Maxx, Ladbrokes, BBC, Burberry, HSBC, John Lewis, M&S, Thomas Cook, Post Office and Unilever. We’ll be hosting the next one on Wednesday 2nd May, at one of our favourite venues – The Wolseley.
It’s by invitation only, and we purposefully invite a select number of the most influential CIOs to come along.
