If you’re an elite athlete, sprinting can be mean working 20 hour weeks for a 10 second race. Training is incredibly disciplined, and rest is always respected. Women who play sports know that their race can only be won if they are on top form and not physically or mentally tired.

Compare this to the digital world of work, where a 20 hour week is a pipe dream. Research from the UK’s largest money saving brand has revealed that the average UK office worker is only productive for 2 hours and 53 minutes out of the working day. And we’ve all been told that ‘it’s a marathon, not a sprint’ by our bosses- so why are we often left feeling like it’s a constant sprint?
