With headlines like 'If tech were a country it would be the 3rd largest polluter after the US and China', it's clear that technology organisations are waking up to their impact on the environment, and the enormous potential to reduce emissions through their digital estate.

Moving workloads to the Cloud can be the Sustainable choice, but with the hyperscalers' business models set up to offer seemingly unlimited storage, many organisations are tempted to simply 'lift and shift' outdated bloated processes and code.
